Main Monthly Meeting
THURSDAY, August 6, 2026
Doors open at 5:30pm
Presenters: JEREMY MONCUR and DEBRA LAMBERT
Join us as we explore foreclosure auctions from different views!
Ready to invest without calling a desperate owner?
Jeremy Moncur, a foreclosure commissioner, is a successful realtor with roots on the North Shore and Windward sides of Oahu. Jeremy obtained his own personal home at a foreclosure auction. Jeremy will kick off the evening by teaching us the basic fundamentals of finding properties that are in the final stages of the foreclosure process. He will show us:
- Where to go to find the addresses of properties in foreclosure with an auction date
- How to get more information about the property that is about to get auctioned
- Where to go to participate in the auction
- How much money to bring, and in what form
- What happens after the auction
Debra Lambert, a real estate investor since 2015 has built a portfolio of rental properties while actively working on multiple fix-and-flip projects. What's most remarkable about Debra is she holds a full time job with the State of Hawaii in Social Work, and has made time to find success in real estate! Debra will share how she has successfully acquired properties to flip and to rent, right here in Hawaii. Debra will share:
- What is a deal breaker for her, what properties she won't even bother looking at (and why)
- How she decides to move forward with a property, to attend the auction
- What are the typical things to expect when you obtain a property from a foreclosure auction
- What are some of the things you need to beware of when considering a property from auction
- Why she may prefer obtaining auction properties over obtaining properties via other strategies
Come ready to learn, connect and have fun. You may leave with a completely different perspective on picking up properties to invest, and building long-term wealth. Then, after the presentations, stay to ask our presenters questions so that you too can try your hand at obtaining your own kingdom of properties!
